The user has the option of installing them as needed or all at once. The fact that we need to buy competitors products to work with a professional format is very disappointing. Part of Premier Elements is that not all the music, transition and effects features are initially installed. When we as a community decided to invest in a subscription-based model for Adobe products, it was with the understanding that Adobe would provide regular and timely updates. I thought it was two years, maybe it's three. Several months ago Adobe changed what they would make available for download across the board with all applications. You are correct that there is a term limit.

If you store it somewhere, it should function on future computers with your serial number. The good news though is that there is a beta version of Adobe Premiere Pro which does work on M1 Macs and full M1 chip support is likely to be added very soon. My understanding is that you do download an installation file. However, you can still run Adobe Premiere Pro on M1 Macs thanks to Rosetta 2 in macOS which isn’t ideal but it is usable.
